“AR” Alternanthera Reineckii Rosanervig is the taller version of Alternanthera Reineckii Mini.  The underside is generally more red and the top yellow, but with proper substrate, lighting, CO2 and iron dosing, this plant can display vibrant red colors.  Their leaves are susceptible to algae, so monitor and trim regularly.

Notes

Easy growing plant that's expected to melt in the initial stages of planting underwater.  Feed it root tabs and occasionally supplement with liquid fertilizers including Iron which can help promote coloration.

Most nano community fish including tetras, danios, barbs, rasboras, dwarf gouramis, swordtails, guppies, endlers, platties, shrimp and snails.

Notes

Moneywort makes a good midground to background plant.  Their thick stems need to be planted in aquatic soil or gravel fed with root feeding tabs.  They grow quick, so remove any decaying leaves, trim the stems and plant them right back in the soil.  This is an easy plant that can provide shelter for a lot of smaller fish, shrimp and fry.
